Hands Well, situated at the junction of Chapel Lane with The Green, dressed with the theme 'Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's', a biblical quotation (Matthew 22:21) that has been used widely to summarise the relationship between Christianity and secular authority.

The dressing also appears to commemorate the forthcoming coronation (on 2 June 1953) of HM Queen Elizabeth II with the inscription 'ER 1953' at its base.
