Copied from an original postcard. On the left is probably the premises of W. Coates and Sons, large rope and twine manufacturing business. Spring Close runs at right angles across the top of the picture; the 'Travellers Rest' public house is in the top right corner and pictured with the bicycle is Thomas Morris. The street is probably decorated for the Coronation on 6th May 1937.

The location now lies beneath the Queens Medical centre.
