Used as a location in D H Lawrence's 'Sons and Lovers'. Early 19th century (built 1810) stucco hall with Ionic columns. Eastwood Hall was formerly the home of the Walker family. Used by the National Coal Board in the latter part of the 20th century and is now a conference and functions centre.
